For the Novice Gardner

It’s a great time to start planting your vegetable or flower garden. The important thing about starting a garden is ground preparation. You need a good mix of 50% dirt and 50% A & P Moisture Mulch/gypsum with plant starter fertilizer as directed. A list of vegetables and flowers to plant this time of year are listed below.

Kids love to start a garden. It’s very exciting for them when they can see and eat the fruits (or vegetables) of their labors. You might be surprised by the vegetables your child is willing to eat because they grew it themselves. It’s a fun idea to plant an herb garden or a salsa garden with tomatoes, peppers and cilantro. We offer a wide variety of herbs and vegetables. You can view photos of several of the herbs we offer at http://www.apnursery.com/herb.htm
