Square Foot Gardening

Soils – use 1/3 composted mulch, 1/3 peat moss and 1/3 vermiculite. Use any of these products available at A & P Nursery. Composted mulch should be a combo of 2-3 of these products – Harvest Supreme, Amend, Rose & Flower Planting Mix, A & P Moisture Mulch and Forest Magic Mulch.

A & P Nursery also has Grow Boxes available (pre-fabricated) 5 minute assembly, no screws needed. Constructed of 1”x8”x5’ lumber to create a 5’x5’ box with 14 ½” individual squares (16 squares total).

Harvest Supreme

* An excellent fortified natural soil amendment for all vegetable and flower gardens. Contains all-organic, long-lasting ingredients including chicken manure, bat guano and kelp meal. Helps break up clay soils and improves drainage.
* Formulated to provide abundant plant nutrients, improve physical soil structure and help balance pH when mixed with existing garden soil.

Peat Moss

Vermiculite

*Good for retaining moisture.

Forest Magic Mulch

Rose and Flower Planting Mix

* Specially formulated for all types of roses, promotes abundant blossoming and long life. Contains all-organic, long-lasting ingredients including alfalfa meal and worm castings.
